<p>Coincidiendo con la presentación del <a rel="noopener, noreferrer" href="https://www.motorpasion.com/2007/01/09-bmw-m5-touring">BMW M5 Touring</a>, Dodge ha presentado en Detroit al que podríamos considerar como un rival americano, aunque a una gran distancia, el <strong>2008 Dodge Magnum SRT8</strong>.</p>

<p>Bajo el rediseñado capó, nos encontraremos con el <strong>motor HEMI V8 6.1 de 425 CV y 569 Nm</strong> de la anterior generación, unido a una caja de 5 velocidades con tecnología Auto Stick, que permite al conductor elegir entre cambio manual o automático. Hace el <strong>0-100 km/h en menos de 5 segundos</strong> y el <del datetime="2007-01-10T18:40:20+00:00">0-100-0</del> <strong>0-160-0 km/h en unos asombrosos 17 segundos</strong>, unas décimas menos que el Cayman S, por poner un ejemplo.<br /></p>

<p>Estéticamente ha mejorado en su aspecto. Si lo comparamos con el <a rel="noopener, noreferrer" href="https://www.motorpasion.com/2005/12/18-2006-dodge-magnum-srt8">2006 Dodge Magnum SRT8</a>, veremos que la nueva calandra es mucho más agraciada, así como los nuevos paragolpes. La entrada de aire del capó también le da este toque típico de agresividad a la americana.</p>

<p>Los neumáticos que calza este <em>aparato</em> son unos <strong>F1 Goodyear 245/45/ZR20</strong> delante y <strong>255/45/ZR20</strong> detrás. Tras la enormes llantas de 20 pulgadas, nos encontramos con unas pinzas de freno pintadas en rojo de <strong>Brembo</strong> de 4 pistones sobre unos discos de 360 y 350 mm. Gracias a estos frenos, se detine desde los 100 km/h en apenas 33 metros.</p>

                <title><![CDATA[Puertas verticales para el Mustang y el Magnum]]></title>

<p>Se me hace raro ver un Mustang con puertas verticales, pero queda claro que el mundo del tuning consigue llegar a todos los modelos y gustos. Desde <strong>LSD Doors</strong> nos llegan dos kits tanto para el <strong>Ford Mustang</strong> como para el <del datetime="2006-12-04T19:13:54+00:00">Dodge Charger</del> <strong>Dodge Magnum</strong>. En este último modelo el abanico se abre hasta el <strong>Chrysler 300C</strong>. Si para el nuevo Mustang no me gustan este tipo de puertas, no me quiero imaginar como se verían dos berlinas como el <del datetime="2006-12-04T19:13:54+00:00">Charger</del> Magnum o el 300C, incluso en sus versiones Touring.</p>

<p>Han pasado los tests de laboratorio, con unos resultados satisfactorios en cuanto a seguridad, obteniendo los mismos resultados que las puertas montadas de serie. Este kit se monta sobre los mismos anclajes que las puertas de serie, con lo que el montaje no requiere una instalación ajena al vehículo ni el repintado del marco interior de las puertas.<br /></p>
